Traffic shifting to new I-75 overpass in Lowndes Thursday

State Route 31, known as the Madison Highway, will be moved by a contractor from its current twin-bridge overpass to a new single bridge with two lanes in each direction and left turn lanes for getting into traffic on the interstate, a statement from Georgia Department of Transportation said.
