Winter driving safety reminder

During the cold months, salt residue and snow slush can obscure important information like hazardous material placards. Per federal regulation, each placard must be visible from the direction it faces on the truck to warn others of the potential hazard.  

One way to ensure placards remain visible is to incorporate clearing them off at each stop. Safety experts recommend clearing salt residue and snow slush from headlights and taillights as well.
