AccuWeather is reporting a bomb cyclone will bring hurricane like weather conditions to the northeast part of the United States. They are predicting that eight states, from New York up to Maine, will be impacted. Warnings in these areas include severe flooding due to additional rain today and also rapidly melting snow that impacted the Northeast last week. Wind gusts are expected to range from 30-60 mph. AccuWeather is advising to monitor weather conditions in these states if travel is required during this storm. If travel becomes unsafe, FMCSA regulations require a driver of a commercial motor vehicle to exit the roadway and only return to travel when conditions improve and become safe again.
