The Weather Channel is warning of an upcoming winter storm named Cora that will blanket parts of the South with snow and ice in the coming days. Areas of impact will range from Texas all the way across to the East Coast with Virginia and the Carolinas in its path. Storm models are predicting that the storm’s impacts will begin to be felt Wednesday night into Thursday and then moving east throughout the following days. Driving conditions may become hazardous in the path of the storm. Monitor weather reports if you must travel into these areas. If travel conditions become unsafe or the state enforces travel bans and you are required to stop, notify dispatch.
