When driving in snow and ice, safety experts recommend decreasing speed below the posted limit. They also recommend never driving faster than a speed at which the vehicle can be handled in a controlled manner. As a reminder, safety experts advise if the box/trailer is empty or not loaded with the maximum weight allowable, it affects braking capabilities and increases the chances of losing control of the vehicle. If road conditions become unsafe for travel, exit the roadway, advise dispatch of your location and wait until conditions improve.
