Winter storm Kingston has left heavy snowfall, icing, and dangerously cold temperatures, which have resulted in poor road conditions in the Midwest and Ozarks. The storm path continues east today and is predicted to leave the same type of conditions in central Virginia and southern Maryland through North Carolina. The extreme cold can result in fuel systems gelling up, preventing the vehicle from starting. Safety experts recommend keeping fuel tanks full and using fuel additives in the main tanks and reefer tanks to prevent gelling.
