JJ Keller recently reported the top five safety violations found on roadside inspections in 2024:

•    Speeding
•    Driving without a valid medical certificate/status
•    False logs
•    No record of duty status when required
•    Failure to obey a traffic control device

These five violations alone accounted for more than 450,000 violations issued in 2024. Moving violations or observable defects on the vehicle are the two most common reasons a commercial motor vehicle is stopped for an inspection.
