The FMCSA reminds commercial drivers to review roadside inspection documents for accuracy prior to signing or leaving the inspection site. If an out of service order is issued in association with any violation, the regulations state no person should operate such vehicle until the out of service defect(s) have been repaired and the vehicle can be restored to safe operating condition. Contact dispatch for a roadside service or tow if necessary. Operating a vehicle while it’s under an out of service order is considered a serious FMCSA violation.
